Putin’s Threatening Message to Boris Johnson

New York (RichTVX.com) — On the brink of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin reportedly threatened Boris Johnson with a missile strike during a phone call. Johnson quoted Putin as saying, ‘Boris, I don’t want to harm you, but with a rocket it would only take a minute.’ The Wall Street Journal reports that Western leaders’ recent decision to increase military assistance to Ukraine and change tactics may be driven by fears that time will play in Russia’s favor. The leaders believe that the window of opportunity for Ukraine is limited and that Kyiv must be provided with stronger weapons, such as tanks and air defense systems, as soon as possible. It was previously believed that after a harsh winter, military losses, and the worsening economic situation caused by sanctions, Moscow would seek to end the conflict and pursue peace. However, this has not been the case, as the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine approaches, and Moscow appears to be planning a new offensive. Western leaders now fear that the Kremlin, ready to continue mobilizing, may win by prolonging the conflict. They also fear that over time, the populations of Europe and the United States may become less supportive of their governments’ efforts to assist Ukraine, and that leadership changes may occur. The West has not yet seen any signs that the Kremlin will end the conflict due to sanctions. Moreover, Western politicians recognize that Russia has ample resources to produce weapons without Western technology and conduct a new wave of mobilization.
