Meet Bill Browder the Man Who Brought Down Russia
NEW YORK (RichTVX.com) – A few days of theatre in 1991 Soviet coup d’état attempt, also known as the August Coup in Russia, were not enough to wipe out the communism legacy, as it was just another giant KGB deception operation, which, the western world once more failed to understand. The result, much more devastating this time, will be bloodshed. Since the Trump-Putin summit in Helsinki many in the world are asking, who exactly is Bill Browder and why is Putin so interested in him?
Bill Browder, a major target of Russian intelligence officials, has spearheaded a campaign against Russian officials whom he blames for the death of Sergei Magnitsky, whom he employed as a lawyer, in a Moscow prison. Bill Browder has helped to pass legislation – so-called Magnitsky Acts – since 2016 the bill, which applies globally, authorizes governments to sanction human rights offenders in Russia, freeze their foreign assets, and ban them from entering the signing country. Vladimir Putin has made it one of his largest foreign policy priority to have the Magnitsky Act repealed, but so far none of his efforts have worked. Not only has it not been repealed, it’s spread to additional countries like the United Kingdom, Canada, any many other countries. The Magnitsky Act is sanctioning Putin’s Oligarchs and cronies.
At the Trump-Putin Summit in Helsinki, Vladimir Putin raised the subject of Bill Browder. Vladimir Putin said that offer would be contingent on the U.S. allowing Russians to interrogate certain Americans. Vladimir Putin suggested Bill Browder would be of primary interest in such an interrogation.Vladimir Putin hates Bill Browder and turning him over to Russia would amount to a death sentence, but so far Russia’s campaign to extradite Vladimir Putin’s arch foe Bill Browder suffered various setbacks. “To hand me over to Putin is basically to hand me over to my death,” Bill Browder said in an interview.
Bill Browder’s book Red Notice: A True Story of High Finance, Murder, and One Man’s Fight for Justice, reads like a thriller but its non fiction and is compelling reading for anyone interested in reading about High Finance, Murder and one man’s fight for justice in modern Russia.
The Author: Bill Browder is the founder and CEO of Hermitage Capital Management and was the largest foreign investor in Russia until 2005. Since 2009 when his lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, died in prison after uncovering a $230 million fraud committed by Russian government officials, Browder has been leading a campaign to expose Russia’s endemic corruption and human rights abuses.
