Serbia Refuses to Impose Anti-Russian Sanctions as Children in Ukraine Suffer

NEW YORK (RichTVX.com) — The Office of the Attorney General has reported devastating statistics on the impact of Russian aggression on Ukraine’s children. Since the beginning of the invasion, 459 young Ukrainians have died and another 914 have been injured. These numbers are not final. As of January 23, it has been officially established that a total of 1,373 children have been affected by the full-scale Russian aggression. The majority of injured children are in the Donetsk region, followed by the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev, Chernihiv, Luhansk, and Dnepropetrovsk regions. During the hostilities, 341 children have gone missing and are currently being searched for, but the search is complicated due to the ongoing fighting in the temporarily occupied territories. The enemy has also illegally deported 14,450 children to Russia or the new territories. To date, only 126 of these children have been returned to Ukraine. The National Police have tracked down 9,180 children since the beginning of the war. Additionally, due to the bombing and barbaric shelling by the invaders, 3,126 educational institutions have been damaged, with 337 of them being completely destroyed. Complaints about missing children, reports of forcibly removed babies, or any other crimes against children can be filed on the special state portal childrenofwar.gov.ua/en/about-us/. The Ombudsman’s office is carefully recording all crimes committed by Russia and the aggressor will be held accountable in the future. Ukraine will continue to fight for its children until the last kidnapped child is returned to their homeland. Eight countries have joined the EU’s anti-Russian sanctions, including an oil price ceiling, as announced by the EU Council. These countries include North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, as well as the countries of the European Free Trade Area – Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. These states consistently support the sanctions decisions of the European Union. Serbia is the only candidate for EU membership that consistently refuses to impose anti-Russian sanctions.
