Editing Details:

The first time I made sure to do making The Dark Knight Returns dream trailer is to find fan films that has Batman suit of Christian Bale. So that was challenging. Fortunately there was handful available. Now the villain I chose was Deathstroke. Since this concept I am introducing Robin, which is also Deathstroke’s nemesis. I begin act 1 introducing Robin as the new hero of Gotham since Batman is gone. I build it up till we get the chance to see the return of Batman. With the line from Robin “After the death of The Batman, crimes have increased in Gotham city. Someone had to fill Batman’s shoes.” We get the plot right from act 1.

Act 2 is about questioning why Batman returned in Gotham city. I made Alfred say “Master Bruce, why did you return to Gotham city”. Then Bruce Wayne answers “I’ve been gone long enough. The people of Gotham needs me.” The challenge of the trailer was adding blockbuster feel. Unfortunately I didn’t find much clips to show that. The trailer turns out to be really fun to watch nonetheless. I end with the line from Batman “Gotham is my city, Gotham is my responsibility”. Then I show Batman’s hand as a hint this could be his most challenging mission. I end up having a lot more clips I didn’t get to use so I hope this trailer does well so I could make more The Dark Knight Returns dream trailer.
