Nathan Fielder Reveals Phone Call from Elizabeth Holmes Before Documentary Release

In a recent interview with Wired magazine, Nathan Fielder disclosed that he received a phone call from Elizabeth Holmes while she is incarcerated. This conversation occurred just prior to the theatrical release of his documentary, "You Can See Everything." It was their first communication in six months, highlighting the unique relationship between the filmmaker and his documentary subject.

Holmes, the former CEO of Theranos, is currently serving a federal sentence for fraud. During the call, she reportedly expressed her trust in Fielder, stating repeatedly, "I trust you." This sentiment underscores the complex dynamics that can arise between documentary filmmakers and their subjects, especially in high-profile cases like Holmes's.

Fielder's documentary delves into the rise and fall of Theranos, a company that promised revolutionary advancements in blood testing but ultimately collapsed amid scandal. The film aims to provide insights into Holmes's perspective and the broader implications of her story.

The release of "You Can See Everything" is highly anticipated, given the public's fascination with Holmes and the Theranos saga. Fielder's unique style of blending humor with serious subjects continues to attract attention, making this documentary a significant addition to the discourse surrounding ethics in entrepreneurship and innovation.
