LEGEND REBORN | Thomas Anders

The Modern Talking icon announces a new album and a massive 2025 USA & Canada Tour

A Voice from the Past, Powered by the Future

Modern Talking legend Thomas Anders is singing again — but this time, it’s not with Dieter Bohlen. In a stunning fusion of nostalgia and technology, Anders is duetting with his own younger self from the 1980s. The magic behind the double Anders in the music video for his new single, “Cherokee Highway,” lies in cutting-edge artificial intelligence and visual effects.

Thomas Anders, the enduring voice of the iconic pop duo, has launched a new album, continuing a successful solo career. The new single, “Cherokee Highway,” transports listeners back to 1986, perfectly evoking the nostalgic spirit that defined Modern Talking’s heyday.

Announcing the 2025 USA & Canada Tour

To celebrate the new music, Anders is set to embark on a highly anticipated USA and Canada tour in August 2025. Fans will have the chance to experience the classic hits and new material live. Confirmed tour dates include:

August 11 & 12: Seattle (Edmonds)

August 14: Atlanta

August 15: Lakeland (Tampa)

August 16: Trenton

August 17: Lynn (Boston)

Reflecting on the Modern Talking Legacy

Producer Christian Geller praised “Cherokee Highway” as a standout in the “Thomas Anders Sings Modern Talking” series. The song masterfully adheres to the classic formula: a polished sound balanced with Anders’ distinctive, tender vocals—the very hallmark that sold millions of records with hits like “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul” and “You Can Win If You Want.”

Despite his success, Anders’ career has been marked by media scrutiny and a complex relationship with his former partner, Dieter Bohlen. Following their initial split in 1987, the band’s legacy was further complicated by disputes over the invaluable contributions of backing vocalists, whose signature sound was crucial to the group’s success but historically undervalued.

The official end of Modern Talking came in June 2003. While unresolved tensions prevented a perfectly clean conclusion, Thomas Anders has consistently maintained his artistic integrity and moved forward.

A New Chapter Begins

The new video for “Cherokee Highway” poignantly features an older Thomas Anders riding alongside his younger, AI-generated self, symbolizing both a nostalgic farewell and a bold look to the future. As the final chapter of Modern Talking closes, Thomas Anders steps forward, ready to carry the torch of his remarkable musical journey alone.
