Horst Cancels Upcoming Event, Slams Police Conduct as 'Unacceptable'

Horst, a prominent Belgian festival and club promoter, has announced the cancellation of an upcoming club event. This decision comes in response to what they describe as 'unacceptable' police conduct during a recent party held in Vilvoorde. According to reports, the policing at the event resulted in the arrest of two individuals, prompting Horst to voice their concerns regarding the treatment of attendees.

The organizers expressed their disappointment with the law enforcement's approach, asserting that it overshadowed the positive atmosphere typically associated with their events. They emphasized the importance of creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants, and the recent incidents have raised serious questions about the handling of such gatherings by authorities.

In light of these developments, Horst has taken a firm stance against the actions of the police, calling for a reevaluation of how events are policed in the future. The cancellation of the event serves as a protest against what they perceive as a growing trend of heavy-handed policing at cultural gatherings.

As the electronic music scene continues to thrive in Belgium and beyond, the incident highlights the ongoing tensions between event organizers and law enforcement. Horst's decision to cancel the event reflects a broader concern within the industry regarding the balance between safety and the freedom to celebrate music and culture.
